I recently discovered an easy way to use Status Messages for custom statuses without any limitation.
Thus, I started programming a little program that automates this procedure.
I started on 18th May this year, and it is still in a very unfinished version, so don't complain. But I will do my best to make it as handy as possible. Just be patient :)
Programming Language used: C++, non-MFC only some MFC features are used, like CStrings, some Drawing Functions etc., apart form that hand coded Win32 API

I know I took up quite a long time with the new release but anyway finally it is out:

• Ability to delete statuses
• When changing Icon no duplicate is made
• Partially new interface, esp. fonts are now better readable and the program got its own Icon
• But the best new addition is: UTF-8 support, enabling you to write and read statuses in your own language with your language specific characters

• Special icons are available (toilet paper, sleeping guy, gameboy, some strange food, cell phone or something like that, + ProSieben and a heart, though there may not be full support for versions <=5.04)
• You can order your statuses now
• Switch On/Off
• Switch Predefined / Normal (5.1)
• Changed a bit the graphical user interface

• Added support for ICQ 5.0 (totally forgot that the older version needs a slightly different adjustment)
• Icons are now even easier selectable: They are all listed one below the other in a dropdown list
